Golf Cart
A golf cart or golf bubby as it is also known, is a simple vehicle made originally to accommodate and carry the two golfers with their golf clubs and
related equipment every where on a golf course with least strain and spares the players from walking. They come in a wide range of formats and are more generally used to transport small no. of players over short distances at speeds less than fifteen mile per hour as per specified standards. The carts normally are around four feet wide, eight feet long and six feet high and weigh nine hundred to a thousand pounds. Most of them are run on four stroke engines.
Prices of a golfing cart normally are in the $ three thousand to fifteen thousand range and this again is dependant on several factors like whether it is a bulk purchase of a fleet of carts for a golf course or club and also if they are new or used. No. of people to be transported and options such as equipment provisions are also factors which guide the price line. Affordability and utility value greatly popularized the carts with the golf clubs offering storage and energy options to owners which led to modifications to suit use at the course.Originally the golf carts used were electrically powered as early as in 1951 and later gasoline operated variants came into being in no time. However electric powered ones are more popular due to their lack of pollutants, noise less nature and safety due to less speed.
